A disturbing observance of a child existing in an indistinguishable time and place – shrouded by frustration and haunted by surrealist visions. Invited by communique, she ventures on a cathartic endeavor with a startling conclusion.

Experiments in the Revival of Organisms” – Soviet Film Agency (1940 Russia 20min)
This disturbing film records the successful experiments in the resuscitation of life to dead animals (dogs), as conducted by Dr. S.S. Bryukhonenko at the Institute of Experimental Physiology and Therapy, Voronezh, USSR.

Smile” – Noam Abta and Yuval Markovich (2005 Israel 7min)
Yuval arrives at his friends’ apartment and begins to suspect that they are plotting to do him harm. The signs build up slowly but surely, up to the point paranoia becomes reality.

The Long Journey Home” – Billie Mintz and Jeffrey Timmins (2008 Canada 8min)
In a village that never knew sickness a boy is sent into the wilderness to find the cure to his illness. He returns from his great journey to a village that does not recognize him for the changes he has endured.

“The Loneliest Little Boy in the World” – Mike Dereniewski (2001 MI 5min)
This film is the director’s reaction to the loss of a great friend of both the director and talent to heroin. The score is comprised entirely of source material from live Caniis Crux performances. This film inspired by and dedicated to Michael D. Petee.

Annabel Lee” – George Higham (2005 England 20min)
A stop-motion puppet animated tale inspired by Poe’s epic poem of love and loss.

Richard Butler of the Psychedelic Furs narrates this prehistoric postcard of love gone wrong between a stop-motion T-rex and a Pterodactyl.

Eight year old Stan is a troubled child with a vivid imagination and a spiteful older sister. One Sunday afternoon, violent visions and sibling hostility spiral dangerously out of control.

A tone poem exploring the cyclical nature of existence.

Examinating the inherent futility of attempts to control the chaos of life. A dialectical montage of abstract images of decay and disorder are contrasted with shots of humans grooming themselves.

Sometimes the greatest battle of your entire life exists in your own head.

The Guest Room” – Louis Kerman (2009 MI 10min)
May sees a mysterious little girl in the guest room of her home. Her husband Dan wants them to move forward in their marriage. But ghosts from their past refuse to let them go. Until they both are forced to deal with their feelings over what happened.

Dark Heart” – Robert Joseph Butler (2009 MI 16min)
Daniel is forced down a dark journey of insanity, hatred, writer’s block, and murder – and the consequences that ultimately arise.

Phobia” – Jon Manthei and Joseph Thompson (2010 MI 18min)
When it seems no form of treatment can cure their ten year old son Matthew of his phobia, Jim and Mary Duboise contact Dr. William Paige, who offers them a more primitive but nonetheless sure fire way to cure him forever, but at what cost.

“Subway” and “Video Drone” are two experimental videos which takes the viewer to a dark, yet intriguing place, leaving the desire to explore further into these created worlds. Dark tunnels and cavernous spaces combined with an erotic performance tell a subtle, sensual, and abstract narrative.
